Samsung Omnia® II Multimedia tips & tricks
The Omnia® II has an oversized 3.7” AMOLED display. With
AMOLED’s unparalleled vividness, WGVA resolution (optimal for
web browsing) and the ability to see the display even in direct
sunlight, users will experience the pinnacle of mobile viewing
quality and versatility.
The Samsung Omnia® II allows you to access lots of types of
media, such as MP3s, FM radio, videos and pictures, in lots
of ways. Find the way you like, and then edit, watch and listen
away.
From the Home Scree n:
You can access the Media Player several ways. To access the
Media Player from a Menu screen, press the Main Menu key,
then Media Player.
From the Cube Scree n:
You can also access the Media Player from the cube screen.
From the Home screen, press the Cube soft key. Select one of
the media options by either swiping your finger across the cube
to rotate the interface and tapping a face to select that media, or
by tapping one of the options at the bottom of the screen. Once
a media option has been selected when in the cube screen, you
may tap Library at the bottom left of the screen to open the
Media Player.
From the Task Switcher:
Media Player can also be accessed from the Task Switcher.
From the Home Screen, press and hold the Main Menu key to
open Task Switcher. Media Player is displayed at the bottom
of the menu screen. Touch the Media Player icon to open the
player.
From the Media Player, you can view your videos by selecting the
Video Icon at the top of the screen. Tap a video to begin playing. By
rotating the phone ninety degrees to landscape mode, you can view
your videos in a spindle. By selecting a video from this screen, or by
rotating your phone to this orientation while a video is playing, you
may view the video in full screen.
What’s In? TV-Out – Send Video from the Omnia II to Your TV
While the Omnia II display is large and brilliant, you may choose to
watch your videos on an even larger screen. To access the TV-out
feature, plug in the TV-out cable (purchased separately) to the 3.5mm
jack and the TV. The TV will show what is on the phone display.
The Omnia II is your ultimate handheld movie studio, allowing you to
edit video and audio clips and create photo slideshows.
Find and tap the Video Editor icon on your Menu screen to begin.
You can then choose to automatically extract interesting video clips
with Auto Cut, create photo slideshows with music with the Music
Movie feature, and connect clips to make a movie with the Storyboard
function.
